John Mitchell’s Cuba photographs look at people in relation to the spaces around them: roads, rooms, streets, and the light that gives each its character.

Made in February 2025, the work moves from the countryside to Havana. A selection forms part of A pesar de todo…, an exhibition with Kyle Hislip at The Emporium in Knoxville.
